Welcome to Rickety Bridge.

Situated on the outskirts of Franschhoek, the wine and food capital of South Africa, the Rickety Bridge Boutique Winery and Country Manor House nestle against the hillside overlooking vineyards and the magnificent Wemmershoek Mountains.

Rickety Bridge is a historic property dating back to 1694 and the first French Huguenot farms established in Franschhoek.

Today the property is home to a modern boutique-style winery with the capacity to handle 200 tonnes of grapes, a unique restaurant, romantic wedding and function venue, conference centre and luxurious 4 star accommodation. 

The winery produces top quality red and white wines which have received high praise from the local and international press. The winemaking philosophy centres on making wine from the highest quality grapes and having minimal interference in the cellar.

The Restaurant in the Vines offers guests the experience of enjoying a Cape inspired gourmet picnic right in the heart of the vineyard. Several rows of vineyard were replaced by a wooden deck, creating the ideal spot for a delicious lunch. The Restaurant in the Vines specialises in gourmet picnics but also offers a selection of lighter meals as well as tapas in the evenings. In Winter, the fare is warm and hearty.

The historic Manor House which dates back to the 1830's has been renovated and refurbished into a luxurious guest house with 3 beautiful en suite rooms. The Manor House offers every comfort and is the perfect choice for a relaxing winelands holiday.
